The Star Platen Attachment is the 84 Engineering solution to provide more Contact Wheels and Convex Grind Slack Belt sections to the original Shop Mate 48 chassis in one single 360 degree Rotating Platen.....the Shop Mate 60 Upgrade makes it capable of running contact wheels from 1/4” to 14” mounted on the Quick Change tooling system.
The SM-60 Upgrade takes your SM-48 to a 2×60” belt length.
The Star Platen can also be used on the Shop Master 72 (2x72") to get that perfect convex grind.
